WHAT’S AN IMPACT JAM?

A two-day Innovation Hackathon happening November 18 and 19, 2017, focused on turning innovation into impact against a specific global challenge.

The 9 Billion Lives Impact Jam on Food Waste will connect innovation hubs in Stockholm, Toronto and Nairobi to collectively work on the Food Waste challenge – sharing skills, ideas, and experiences using the Challenge Dialogue System™framework.

WHO’S INVITED?

We are bringing together a diverse group of changemakers, innovators, design thinkers, researcher, students and more in an intensely collaborative environment to discuss, challenge and advance solutions on Food Waste that can be deployed for impact.

WHY PARTICIPATE?

Food Waste in one of the biggest challenges of our time as we approach 9 Billion people on the planet. We live in a time of unprecedented opportunities. There is no shortage of ideas, innovation, and money, yet grand challenges remain.

INTERESTED BUT CAN’T ATTEND THE WHOLE THING? CONSIDER SESSIONS!

Don’t worry, there are many ways to participate. The Jam consists of 8 sessions, starting with Framing the Challenge on Saturday morning to Final Impact Presentations on Sunday afternoon. Attend one session or multiple sessions, based on your interest and availability. You can also opt-in for an online-only version, where you will be continuously updated on progress and can comment and follow as the results are posted.
