Among other challenges, local health facilities lack the basic equipment, devices, or supplies needed for delivering quality services for maternal newborn & child health (MNCH). Other facilities may have some of the necessary items but in gross disrepair therefore rendering them inefficient. This calls for a rising demand for more innovation in order to improvise and apply creative ideas to save lives.
The University of Nairobi – Maker Space in partnership with UNICEF, Concern Worldwide, Gearbox, Kenyatta National Hospital and Fablab Nairobi will be hosting a five-days training facilitated by Philips to an eco-system of innovators, entrepreneurs, university students, academic staff, health practitioners among others for creating and promoting devices and solutions for Maternal Newborn & Child Health (MNCH) in the African context.
