If so, we’d love to talk to you about joining us, and other incredible speakers for an upcoming event in Nairobi, Kenya on 22nd March, 2018: Tech and Innovation for Youth Employment.

Mercy Corps’ Impact Labs and YES! (Youth Empowered for Success) initiatives, in partnership with Google.org and The Coca-Cola Foundation, are joining forces to host a learning event that will bring together thought leaders in technology and innovation for youth employment in Eastern Africa. We will meet in an intimate gathering to explore how tech-enabled solutions can unlock opportunities for youth entrepreneurship and employment in the region and beyond.

The event will provide an opportunity to explore and share remarkable ideas through curated panels and TED-style talks. We are on the lookout for standout contributions with bright and innovative ideas for technology based solutions to youth unemployment.

We will give selected speakers the platform to deliver their ideas in an engaging fast-paced talk as well as the opportunity to be both challenged and energized by a community dedicated to finding real solutions to the youth unemployment challenge in Eastern Africa and beyond.

We want to hear about “ideas worth doing”.

Applications that are most likely to be successful:
● Ideas that are groundbreaking or will be completely new to our audience.
● Ideas that are backed by evidence.
● Ideas that fit with our theme..
● Ideas that are going to change the world.
● Ideas that will challenge our audience.

Applications that are least likely to be successful:
● Talks that are geared to promote an individual or company rather than an idea.
● Ideas that will have little or no impact on our audience.
● Ideas that can be summed up using an acronym.
