Making More Health (MMH) Accelerator

Launched in 2010 by Ashoka in partnership with the global healthcare company- Boehringer
Ingelheim, the Making More Health (MMH) initiative was conceived as a way to bring together
some of the best experience in social innovation and global healthcare to improve access to
healthcare in underserved communities around the world.

Through one of MMH’s programs, a structured 11-month business accelerator program called
the MMH Accelerator, cohorts of experienced social entrepreneurs in the healthcare space are
identified and provided with capacity building as well as technical and financial support to
develop, pilot, test and present their innovations to investors. The Accelerator combines
Ashoka’s expertise in social entrepreneurship with Boehringer Ingelheim’s business acumen
and knowledge of the healthcare industry. It provides a unique environment and support
system to social innovators in the health space that see an opportunity to strengthen and scale
their work via the reach and operations of a multinational healthcare company.
